Cookie Notice
Syncfusion, Inc. and all subsidiaries and affiliates of Syncfusion, Inc. (hereafter the “Company” or “Syncfusion”), with its main offices located at 2501 Aerial Center Parkway, Suite 111, Morrisville, North Carolina 27560, are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. This cookie policy (“Policy”) will detail what information we collect and what we use it for. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to privacy@syncfusion.com. We encourage you to periodically review this statement as it may change at any time at our sole discretion.
What Is a Cookie?
Cookies are small text files, pixels, or other technology collected by websites from a user’s browser (Collectively known as “Cookie”). A cookie is a small, usually randomly encoded, text file placed onto your device that enables features and functionality along with individualized preferences for the essential features and additional services provided by Syncfusion. They are generated on the sites that you visit, as well as by third-parties that websites work with, to manage key elements of their business-user functionality. In most cases they do not involve or use personal information in any way. For example, Cookies enable us to identify your device, secure your access to Syncfusion and our sites generally, and even help us know if someone attempts to access your account from a different device.
Cookies are used extensively online and have become part of the fabric and make-up of what has made the internet work effectively for consumers and businesses. Without cookies, many areas of functionality (for example, user logins, shopping baskets and other customization features) would not work as expected.
Further information on cookies can be found at the EU Internet Handbook or AllAboutCookies.org.
Cookie types
Session cookies
Session cookies are temporary cookies that are not stored on your computer or mobile device. They are used as part of the login, authentication and session management flows of the SaaS platform websites. Certain session cookies are also used to understand, for example, if a user interacting with our company website is a new visitor or a visitor returning as part of the same browsing session. These session cookies are erased when you close your browser, or after extended inactivity.
Persistent cookies
Persistent cookies are those placed on your computer or mobile device for a pre-determined length of time when you visit this site. They are used on both the SaaS platform and company websites, including, for example, to understand (through Google Analytics or Marketo services) what areas of our websites and platform are most popular, and how customers and users engage with them.
Cookie management
You have the ability to accept or decline the use of cookies. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser setting to decline all cookies, if you prefer. Alternatively, many web browsers can be configured to notify you each time a cookie is tendered, and permit you to accept or decline them on an individual basis or on a site-by-site basis. If you choose to decline cookies from Sycfusion’s websites, you may experience some unexpected behaviors or impact to the use of the hosted SaaS software.
Other tracking technologies
Other tracking technologies are used on Syncfusion’s company website and SaaS platform sites. These are primarily used to understand if customers or users are interacting with any marketing-type emails sent from our systems. Examples include:
- Flash Locally Stored Objects (eg ‘Flash’ cookies) – these follow the same principle as normal standard cookies in that they allow information to be stored on a user’s machine
- Transparent GIF or web beacons- these mechanisms can be used to deliver a cookie to your browser. They can also be used in email marketing to identify to the sender if an email has been opened.
What third parties use these technologies in connection with our Services?
Third parties such as our customers, partners and service providers may use cookies in connection with our Services.
Your Choices
You have choices on how Syncfusion uses cookies and similar technologies. Please note that if you limit the ability of Syncfusion to set cookies and similar technologies, you may worsen your overall user experience, since it may no longer be personalized to you. It may also stop you from saving customized settings like login information.
Browser Controls
Most browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings, which may be adapted to reflect your consent to the use of cookies. Further, most browsers also enable you to review and erase cookies, including Syncfusion Bold Desk cookies. To learn more about browser controls, please consult the documentation that your browser manufacturer provides.
What is Do Not Track (DNT)?
DNT is a concept that has been promoted by regulatory agencies such as the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC), for the Internet industry to develop and implement a mechanism for allowing Internet users to control the tracking of their online activities across websites by using browser settings. As such, Syncfusion does not generally respond to “do not track” signals. While Syncfusion attempts to honor do not track (“DNT”) instructions we receive from your browser, we cannot guarantee that Syncfusion will always respond to such signals, in part because of the lack of common industry standard for DNT technology. We continue to monitor developments in DNT technology and stay apprised of DNT industry standards as they evolve.
